So excited to come here! If you enjoy The Eagles, love music, or unique roadside attractions on Route 66 this is a must see!Unfortunately, I arrived later than I had planned. Of course the gift shops were closed, but still managed to get some wonderful pictures! It only would have been better if my special someone was with me.read more

I waited 4 years to come back to the Sip Shoppe and have a root beer float that my son completely drank before I could have more. Well it was worth the diversion on our road trip. They mix hard ice cream with soft serve and use some kind of syrup in addition to the root beer. Really good quality and hits the spot.I was curious about their hot dogs, and gave their Illinois dog a try since we also came back from Chicago. The relish is exactly like the neon green kind they serve in Chi town. Sport peppers and mustard (no ketchup) was pretty authentic. It might have even been Vienna beef dogs for all I know. And of course, stop and appreciate the mural and statue on the Corner on Winslow, and listen to the music that's broadcasted on the public speakers.read more

“Take it Easy”If you are anywhere near Route 66 in Arizona you should check out Winslow.Plenty of good things to take pictures of and with.Check out the ice cream shop on the corner and get a classic shake. An old bank restored into an ice cream parlor.Across the street are two great gift shops. Between the two of them there will be something worth taking home.Up and down the street are benches that you can get a picture sitting in.Of course, the corner is the place for the best picture. Check out the attached pictures and make sure you stop on by.read more

What a cool little stop if you're on the route 66 trail! I highly recommend taking some time for this one, because the town is so quaint and the people are super friendly. The walk is short through downtown and look at all the different shops! Photo tip, stand on the opposite corner, so you can get the route 66 symbol in the road, along with the landmark in the background, there aren't too many cars that pass through downtown, so you have time to set up your shots!read more

Folks I’ll tell you this a cool one. If you’re rolling along I-40 and have some time for a unique Route 66 experience go ahead and check this out. You gotta do it. Actually there is a huge parking lot by the visitor center which we needed for our RV. Then there is a nice sidewalk path to follow to get to the street corner. It goes by a few train cars. Then head over a block and there you are. Time for a photo op then.read more

Drove from Antelope Canyon direct to Winslow for this visit. It did not disappoint. The folks of Winslow have created a small “park” dedicated to the line in an Eagles’ song. Bronze Statue of Glenn Fry with a guitar with appropriate signage. For Eagles fans, a must see.read more

This was a very nostalgic place to visit... It lived up to my expectations... took lots of pics and found some very interesting items in some of the nearby stores... I was concerned about the town though... Looked rundown and depressed outside of the downtown area... Maybe a few more tourists a day, could improve that... If you love the eagles, Glen Frey or Jackson Brown, you will love this place... There is a connection here...read more

Always a fun stop on the way out to meteor crater. Always a lot of people, just be patient. The rte 66 sign in the intersection is cool and a lovely addition to the area. The shop is super cute and staffed by lovely people. Parking can be hinky depending on the time of day you visit. But there is plenty around in the streets surrounding it. Definitely worth getting off the interstate and parking and snapping the pics.read more

Worth the trip. Not far off I-40. They've fixed the place up to cater to fans of the Eagles, some of whom looked to be fairly mature. Well, actually, that may have been a storefront window reflecting back at me!In any case it's a good time on historic Route 66, and there is the obligatory gift shop across the street the cater to the souvenir needs of everyone who makes the pilgrimage to this place.Highly recommend.read more

I am of such an age that I remember when the Eagles recorded their song that made this corner in Winslow AZ famous. It is such a thrill to actually stand there, with the song running through your head. This little corner of Arizona was so neat! There were a couple of statues for pictures available. Because of that wonderful song "Take It Easy" by the legendary band "The Eagles" most of Earth's population has heard by now about Winslow, AZ. My husband and I were in Arizona a week ago and we wanted to pay our respects to the iconic corner and to my surprise I found more than I expected. They turned this place into a park on September 11th, 1999. There are two statues commemorating Jackson Brown who wrote the song and Glenn Frey, the founding member of "The Eagles". Appropriately they are a couple of stores on the corner when you can get mementos of your visit.read more

Such an iconic place! A small, clean town right out of a favorite song. If you go, be sure to visit the gift shop across the street. They are so friendly! Plus, there is pretty much everything you can imagine for those little gifts for everyone on your list! I was also told that the coffee shop on the other corner has amazing coffee, cappuccinos, and crepes, but we didn't have time to drop in there. The corner even has a flatbed Ford sitting there for those *must have* picture moments! Another item checked off of my Bucket List for sure!read more

A fun and popular place to stop...something you just gotta see at least once in your lifetime. And apparently lots of people feel the same, because there was an abundance of people there to take pictures. This stop in Winslow was the second time I've been there on my 4000 mile journeys. The last time I took photos and a video, and wrote a review. It was my most popular Five Star review for the entire year. This trip was just as much fun. Weather was colder, while last time was warm. I went to the same places and had just as much fun. Staff that was helpful in summer was just as friendly and helpful. Winslow, and thus the foundation, is consistent and considerate.I will return again to soak up the ambiance, good music by the Eagles, and to stand on the corner. Maybe I will bring a friend next time 😉😁Stop here in Winslow Arizona. You will like it!read more

As The Eagles recommend, you should ‘Take It Easy’ and stand on a corner in Winslow, AZ.On a Route 66 tour I did just that.
